AcademicWorks provides various accessibility accommodations in compliance with WCAG 2.0 AA.
The AcademicWorks web application/software allows functions to be executed from a keyboard. This means applicants can apply to scholarships and opportunities, search for scholarships and opportunities, and manage their applications from a keyboard. Reviewers can view and rate applications using a keyboard.
The Administrator section has some keyboard limitations such as the form layout functionality and application grids that are not fully keyboard accessible.
AcademicWorks provides links to allow assistive technology users to skip to the main content of the application.
AcademicWorks does not interfere with or deactivate accessibility features within operating systems.
AcademicWorks does not override user selected contrast and color selections nor other individual display attributes.
Focus tracking is visible on standard HTML components and some elements in the Administrator section so that Assistance Technology and track focus and focus changes. However, focus tracking is not clearly visible on all user interface (UI) elements.
The core UI elements expose necessary information available to assistive technology. The optional rollover help text is not currently supported.
All core interactive elements of AcademicWorks have text equivalents.
Text content, text input caret location, and text attributes are available via the web browser.
AcademicWorks does not rely on color coding as the only means of conveying information.
The core from functionality for applications in AcademicWorks is accessible to those using assistive technology. There are some form elements for System Administrators that may not be accessible for this using assistive technology.
Tables in AcademicWorks are well-formed to ensure they they are readable by assistive technology users. Grids within the administrative section do not have accessible headers.
